About Non-Insured (Private) Treatment
The treatments above are non-insured (private) treatment, not covered by health insurance. While a wide range of materials and methods can be chosen, the cost is paid entirely by the patient. Depending on the treatment, an alternative treatment under insurance coverage may also be available. As principal risks, restorations made of ceramic, zirconia and similar materials may fracture if subjected to strong force, and whitening may cause temporary tooth sensitivity. The treatment period and number of visits vary depending on the condition of your mouth. We will explain the costs, risks and alternative treatments in detail at your examination.
INSURANCE / PRIVATEDifferences Between Insured and Non-Insured (Private) Treatment
We began providing insured treatment in August 2026 and accommodate both insured and private (self-pay) treatment.
Insured Treatment
Treatment covered by health insurance, with a patient's share of 10–30%.
Many general treatments, such as those for cavities and periodontal disease, are covered.
On the other hand, there are restrictions on the materials and methods that may be used, so options in terms of appearance and durability may be limited.
Self-pay treatment (not covered by insurance)
Treatment not covered by health insurance; the cost is paid entirely by the patient.
Materials such as ceramic and zirconia can be selected, allowing treatment that takes durability and aesthetics into consideration according to the case. Whitening and Premium Cleaning are also non-insured (private) treatments.
If you are unsure which is suitable for you, we will discuss your wishes and the condition of your mouth at your examination and make a proposal.
TAX DEDUCTIONAbout Medical Expense Deductions
Fees for non-insured (private) treatment may be eligible for the medical expense deduction. Under this system, if the medical expenses you pay within 1 year exceed a certain amount, you can receive a refund of income tax by filing a tax return.
Please confirm with your tax office regarding which treatments are eligible and the details of the procedure. We ask that you keep your receipts in a safe place.

FAQFAQ
Can I visit without an appointment?
We give priority to patients with appointments, but we also accept visits without one. Depending on how busy we are, you may have to wait, or we may be unable to see you the same day. Calling us (03-4500-6939) to check same-day availability makes things smoother.
I'm afraid of pain — will I be okay?
We believe the pain of anesthesia is largely affected by the stimulus of the initial needle insertion.
At 369CLINIC, we take care with the condition of the mucosa and the insertion site, aiming to make anesthesia as gentle as possible.
What is the difference between insured and self-pay treatment?
With insured treatment the patient's share is 10–30%, but there are limits on materials and treatment methods. With private (self-pay) treatment, materials such as ceramic and zirconia can be chosen, and durability and aesthetics can be taken into account according to the case.
Can I use the medical expense deduction?
Self-pay treatment costs may qualify for Japan's medical expense deduction. For details, please check with the tax office.
Do you also treat children?
Yes, we also see children.
Building correct brushing habits and a healthy oral environment from the baby-teeth stage leads to lifelong oral health.
We provide care at a comfortable pace, in step with each child's growth.
Is parking available?
We do not have dedicated parking. If you come by car, please use nearby coin-operated parking. The closest is the lot across from Entsuji Temple; the Akasaka Biz Tower parking is also available.
Do you accept Japanese health insurance?
Yes. We began providing insured treatment in August 2026. We accommodate both insured and private (self-pay) treatment. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask when making your appointment.
